Shelmalier House Hotel - Athlone

It was in a particularly good location to Book a Taxi to Wedding. The breakfast was full of gorgeous meals such as eggs, fruit, and bacon. The staff was very pleasant and pleasant, some of them especially.

Appealing hotel and the location to Book a Taxi to Wedding was beautiful and good. The room was extremely spacious with excellent facilities, I felt comfortable there.

Rooms are clean and cozy, breakfast is solid, and you get all the modern amenities you need. Plus, they've got this amazing freshly baked cake that's just divine! 🍰

The location here is central and convenient, making it easy to reach the city center by car, with friendly service throughout my enjoyable stay in modern surroundings, which would make it my top choice for a future visit.

We got great value for our money at Shelmalier House. The room was fantastic and had a huge shower with amazing water pressure. The location was perfect for our cycling trip and the staff treated us like royalty. Jim, the host, were really nice too help us with recommendations and even had delicious pastries waiting for us in our room.

The hotel breakfast menu could have a wider variety of options.

The hosts at Shelmalier House were friendly and made us feel right at home. They were great too help us navigate the area and gave us great recommendations for places to visit and eat. The breakfast they served was amazing with homemade bread and delicious treats like drop scones with maple syrup. Our room was spacious, cozy, and had all the modern facilities we needed. We also appreciated that they provided a baby cot for our little one. The location of the B&B was perfect for us - in a quiet suburb of Athlone, but still close enough to easily reach the city center by car. We also had plenty of on-site parking space.

The breakfast included special yogurt and locally cured ham, with great breads. Meeting Nancy at breakfast was special. Woodwork in the house is beautiful. Accommodation was superb with friendly staff, modern decor mixed with intriguing antiquities. Triple room adequate with spacious dormer window and ensuite. Breakfast offered fantastic choice and fresh baked cake in room. Good base for touring surrounding areas. Library and sauna facility available. Family business caters for everyone. Jim, our host, was wonderful and welcoming. The property was clean, with spacious rooms and generous supplies of toiletries and tea and coffee. Delicious breakfast with abundant fresh and high-quality produce. Secure place for bicycles and a dry room for gear. Gorgeous bakewell pastries on arrival. Huge shower with fantastic pressure.

We recently stayed at a B&B in the heart of the city during our city trip. the hosts were fantastic and really made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. the facilities were top-notch, and we especially appreciated the secure place to leave our bikes and the dry room to dry our wet gear. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated, with modern and antique elements combined. We enjoyed a great choice of breakfast options, including a delicious Full Irish Breakfast and fresh baked cakes. the location was perfect, with plenty of brochures on tourist attractions available, and local taxi firms on-call, making it easy for us to explore the surrounding areas.

The heating in our room wasn't quite warm enough for us. It's worth noting though that we are sensitive to cold temperatures, and other guests may not have this issue!

This hotel is conveniently located right off the highway, making it easy to find when driving. It's not far from the town centre, so it's a great location for exploring this area. Breakfast was delicious and there were plenty of options to choose from. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

It was all superb.

this was my second visit to athlone and staying at shelmalier house was even better than before. from the lovely reception area to the spotless room with a jacuzzi bathroom, everything was just perfect. the bed was incredibly comfortable and the european breakfast was delicious. great value for money and a convenient bus stop right outside.

This weekend was okay, the host was nice to us and provided good WiFi. The location was easy to find and there was plenty of free parking. The bed was comfortable and the room offered tea and coffee facilities, that was very handy. the shower was clean with good water pressure.

The breakfast was not to our liking and it wasn't very fresh. We also didn't like the décor of the room, it seemed pretty outdated.
